Since 2005, the city of Antwerp has been monitoring its emissions as part of its 2020 climate plan and the Covenant of Mayors (CoM). Now the city is turning its attention to the ambitious ‘Antwerp for Climate’ Climate Plan 2030 and appointing Transition Stories to prepare the emissions inventory for the years 2021, 2022 and 2023, with publication in 2023, 2024 and 2025 respectively.
The emissions inventory is a collection and analysis of data that identifies greenhouse gas emissions within the city. The inventory provides insight into the amount and sources of emissions. This allows effective climate policy measures to be developed.
Transition Stories took on the entire emissions inventory process, from data collection to the required calculations and analyses, resulting in a clearly reported and readable inventory.
