Jan Aerts<\/span><\/h1>\n

Senior consultant<\/h2>\n

Jan graduated in 1992 as an industrial engineer – electromechanics \/ environmental technology from Group T in Leuven. After a first work experience in aviation, Jan became fully involved in energy and climate projects 10 years later. First as a project engineer in the construction and operation of anaerobic wastewater treatment plants with coupled biogas CHPs, then as a recognised energy expert (EAP\/EPB) in low-energy and passive construction.<\/p>\n

In 2007, Jan joined Futureproofed, where he developed climate plans for large companies and cities. He expanded his knowledge with training in financial and change management, area development, cost-benefit analysis, LCA analysis and traffic engineering. In 2017, Jan joined Leuven 2030 vzw, where he led a European grant dossier to make more than 100 buildings more sustainable, with a total investment of \u20ac40 million.<\/p>\n

From 2022, Jan is reaching back beyond the borders of Leuven and wishes to use his accumulated expertise beyond to land sustainable dreams.
